What would you do if you were Peter and Kit finding a mysterious poem?

I would be very disturbed and shaken but I probably would not have done what Kit and Peter did, I would not have thought of it. I would have just kept the poem and ignored it as if it was nothing because it would not affect me (or at least I would think it wouldn’t). I think I would feel a little scared because if there was a secret meaning or code in this poem, would it be a bad one?

How would you feel if you had to travel on such short notice with a huge risk of getting caught?

I do not think I would even think of traveling if I was sort of safe where I was at the moment. Peter could have gotten caught at any given moment. Although he was working for the Queen, I think Sir Phillip could have arranged something and still could have taken Peter away. If I had no choice but to travel I would be scared all the time.

If you were in Peter’s situation, would you even have the thought of returning home let alone do it?

I would have thought of it very much but with his risks, I probably would not do it. They were harsh punishers back then and your punishment is far more serious then it needs to be. I probably would not do it because my family would tell my friends who would tell their friends and before you know it, Sir Phillip knows!

Put yourself in Peter’s shoes. Try to describe the feeling you would feel after being away from home for so long and then returning even for just a short while. How would you feel?

I would feel very happy yet afraid, relieved yet stressed, because I would be at really high risk of getting caught. I think I would feel comforted because I would be back with my family even if it were just for a little bit. I would also be sad, knowing that my stay with them may be shorter than I would think.

How would you feel going to bed every night not knowing what happens next?

I would not be able to sleep; I would be making up many scenarios just to try to prepare myself for the day that is following, if there were no more scenarios left to make up; I would be mostly awake all night with failed attempts at sleeping. Peter’s lifestyle is not my kind of lifestyle.
